New York Partner Mark Beckman Featured Moderator at COVID-19 Wage and Hour Considerations Webinar

Mark Beckman, partner in Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani's New York office, will moderate a panel discussion titled “Wage and Hour Considerations in the Midst of COVID-19” for the Gordon & Rees ExecuSummit ONLINE webinar series to be held Thursday, May 21. This panel will focus on the wage and hour considerations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the newly enacted federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act, New York Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act, New York City Paid Sick Leave Law, as well as various other states’ counterpart policies, and the potential liability and claims that may arise from adverse employment actions taken in response to the economic shutdown.

Panelists include Cathleen Long, Specialty Claims Consultant with The Hanover Insurance Company, LaToyia Pierce, Vice President of Legal Affairs with FirstService Residential, Inc., Catherine Vance, Assistant General Counsel of Development Specialists, Inc., and Ryan Vaughan, Director – Tax of MazarsUSA LLP.

Beckman is a partner in the New York office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the commercial litigation, professional liability, and employment law practice groups. He has extensive experience representing corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts as well as agencies such as FINRA and the EEOC. Such representations include mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternate dispute resolution. He excels at drafting and arguing motions and appeals.
