Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Shannon Voll Poliziani as partner in the Pittsburgh office. She joins the firm's Health Care and Professional Liability Defense practice groups. She concentrates her practice in the defense of professional liability and medical malpractice claims, representing physicians, hospitals and other health care personnel.
Poliziani regularly represents individuals, health care providers, businesses, insurance companies and their insureds in a variety of state and federal courts, as well as before professional licensing and regulatory boards.

As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Poliziani is also familiar with the issues faced by the medical profession with regard to billing, coding, claims forms, fraud and abuse, and compliance matters. Outside of healthcare litigation, Poliziani has a broad background that includes white collar criminal defense and defending personal injury lawsuits.
She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Pennsylvania. Poliziani earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, and her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University.
