Greg Hearing to Serve as Faculty on Current Topics in Professional Ethics for Accountants and Attorneys for Practising Law Institute’s Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2022

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Denver Partner Greg Hearing will serve as faculty for Practising Law Institute's Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2022. 

Designed for lawyers of all experience levels, this program will review which common accounting concepts emerge in legal work and what lawyers should consider when encountering them. Experts in the legal and accounting professions will lead attendees through practical segment discussions, taking an in-depth look at the elements of varying financial statements and what they really reveal about the entity overall. 

Hearing will co-present with Matthew Greenblatt of FTI Consulting. Together they will present on Current Topics in Professional Ethics for Accountants and Attorneys.  Unique to this program is the analysis of how legal ethics and accounting professional rules of conduct intersect, providing an interesting discussion for professionals in both the legal industry and accounting. 

Hearing focuses his practice on the representation of businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation. He regularly handles matters concerning commercial claims, professional liability disputes, and product liability claims. Additionally, he represents insurers in coverage and first party bad faith actions. He works with clients ranging from individual professionals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. This includes significant experience in the representation of energy and utility companies in a wide variety of matters.
