Katherine K. Kust Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in Denver Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Katherine K. Kust to the firm's Denver office. She joins the Insurance, Commercial Litigation, and Construction practice groups. 

Ms. Kust focuses her practice in the areas of insurance with an emphasis on bad faith, commercial and construction litigation. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation from inception through trial in both state and federal court.  She also has a strong appellate practice.

She works closely with her clients and experts developing strategies for each unique matter up front and throughout the case in an effort to reach the best possible result.  In doing so, she has efficiently and successfully mediated dozens of matters with exceptional results.  She has further achieved outright defense verdicts and complete dismissal of matters following jury trials and successful motions for summary judgment for insurers facing significant financial exposure.

Given her breadth of knowledge and experience, she is often invited as a guest speaker for companies to assist with best practices and advising on changes in the law. She has been recognized by Colorado Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star and by Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Insurance Law and Insurance Litigation.

She is admitted to practice in California, Colorado, U.S. District Court, District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.

Ms. Kust received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California with a specialization and honorary recognition in the field of Intellectual Property, where she was selected as a member of the Law Review.  She earned her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
