UPDATE on National Labor Relations Board Posting Requirement: Compliance Deadline Extended to January 31, 2012

On September 15, 2011 we published a notification informing employers of a new obligation by the National Labor Relations Board ("NLRB").  Qualifying employers will soon be required to post notice of employee rights under the National Labor Relations Act, in addition to other federally-mandated employment postings.  Compliance was originally set for November 14, 2011.

The NLRB recently extended its initial compliance deadline to January 31, 2012.  The extension was granted to allow for enhanced education and outreach to employers, particularly those who operate small and medium sized businesses.  To assist in compliance, the poster is now available to download and print from the NLRB website.  It is also available at any NLRB regional office.
