Gordon & Rees Partner Leon Silver Co-Editor of the 2020 The Sedona Conference Incident Response Guide

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Phoenix office co-managing partner Leon Silver served as co-Editor of the recently released 2020 version of The Sedona Conference Incident Response Guide.  Silver is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group 11 on Data Security and Privacy Liability.  The group includes privacy and data protection lawyers from major multi-national corporations, federal and international regulatory agencies, private firms, data security experts, and federal appellate and district court judges.

The Sedona Conference's goal behind the production of the Incident Response Guide is to provide a comprehensive but practical guide to help practitioners deal with the multitude of legal, technical, and policy issues that arise whenever an incident occurs. In drafting the Incident Response Guide, the Sedona Conference identified and commented on trends in data security and privacy law in an effort to help organizations prepare for and respond to data breaches and to assist attorneys and judicial officers in resolving questions of legal liability and damages.

The Sedona Conference Incident Response Guide is one of a series of Working Group commentaries published by The Sedona Conference, a 501(c)(3) research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. The mission of The Sedona Conference is to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way.
