On November 3, 2017 the Diversity Law Institute presented Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani with the 2017 Law Firm Diversity Award at its annual Diversity Law Institute (DLI) Summit & Awards held in Philadelphia. Partner Ilan Rosenberg accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
Gordon & Rees was selected among more than 100 law firms from around the country to receive the Diversity Law Institute Award for excellence, involvement and efforts in furthering diversity within the legal profession. The Diversity Law Institute Awards recognizes of achievement by law firms that have practiced, advanced and/or promoted diversity and inclusion at the highest level. The DLI awards for 2017 were based upon a methodology that employed various components researched by third parties recognizing different aspects of diversity and inclusion.
According to recent reports, the average among U.S. law firms is 14 percent minority attorneys, 8 percent minority partners, 33 percent female attorneys and 22 percent female partners. Gordon & Rees exceeds the national average in all categories with 18.1 percent minority attorneys, 14.5 percent minority partners, 42.0 percent women attorneys and 27.1 percent women partners.
In 2017, Gordon & Rees ranked in the top 30 on The American Lawyer Diversity Scorecard and among the top 20 for diversity among partners. It also ranked among Law 360's Top 100 Firms for Minority Lawyers and among the Top 40 Firms for Women in Law on the National Law Journal's NLJ Women in Law Scorecard. Recently, Gordon & Rees also received 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index for the third consecutive year in row.
