The American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) is holding its annual Spring CLE and Leadership Forum May 18-20 at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island, Florida. New York Office Managing Partner Mercedes Colwin will be teaching the Leadership Academy, her fourth consecutive year as a leadership instructor. The TIPS Leadership Academy provides participants with the tools, knowledge and skills necessary to lead the legal profession and to improve leadership service in the legal community as a whole. The Leadership Academy is part of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section's commitment to increase the diversity of leaders in the legal profession; nurture effective leadership with respect to ethical, professional and community service values; build relationships among leaders from across the country and from numerous disciplines within the profession; and raise the level of awareness among lawyers regarding the broad range of issues facing the legal profession.
