Ann Thornton Field to Moderate Roundtable at ABA Aviation and Space Law Conference

Gordon & Rees Philadelphia partner Ann Thornton Field will participate in “Beyond the Horizon: What's Next in Aviation and Space Law Litigation,” a two-day CLE conference presented by the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section.

Field will moderate an Oct. 17 insurance roundtable that includes aviation insurance claims managers from different aviation sectors. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Field and the panelists will discuss legal issues on the horizon; how the relationship between insurers, insureds, and outside counsel may change in the coming years; and the greatest potential growth in aviation-related legal services.

Gordon & Rees is a silver sponsor of the conference, which will be held Oct. 17-18 at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C.

Field is a member of Gordon & Rees’s Aviation, Commercial Litigation, and Insurance Groups. Her practice focuses on general litigation, aviation, and products liability matters and she has been lead counsel for numerous matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She was involved with the defense of death claims arising from the bombing and crash of Pan Am Flight 103 in Lockerbie, Scotland; the defense of claims arising from the U.S. Navy experimental V-22 Osprey Tilt Rotor Aircraft; the 1996 ValuJet accident; the 1996 TWA 800 accident; and the 2006 Brazilian Midair Collision.

Among her many honors, Field was named a Woman of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners, and she received the Lynette Norton Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession.
