Ashlee Grant Joins GRSM as Employment Partner in Houston Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Ashlee Grant as a Partner in the firm’s Houston office, further strengthening the firm’s presence throughout Texas.

“I am thrilled to join GRSM and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in Texas and nationally,” shared Grant. “The firm’s collaborative culture and expansive national platform create tremendous opportunity for me to continue to grow my practice while continuing to deliver exceptional value to my clients.”

Board-certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Grant brings a comprehensive employment practice, combining sophisticated litigation defense with proactive, business-focused advice and counsel. She regularly defends employers in federal and state court litigation and arbitration proceedings involving claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in violation of Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She also has significant experience defending companies in complex, high-exposure wage and hour litigation, including nationwide collective and class actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and related laws.

Her practice also includes handling emergency injunctive proceedings in state and federal courts involving alleged trade secret theft, employee mobility disputes, and claims related to confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreements. Grant’s litigation work also extends to the appellate level, where she briefs and argues complex employment law issues before state and federal courts of appeals.

In addition to her litigation practice, Grant serves as a strategic advisor to employers on a range of day-to-day workplace issues. She counsels management and human resources professionals on employee discipline and termination decisions, reductions in force, workplace investigations, policy development, restrictive covenant enforcement, and compliance involving federal and state employment laws. Grant also regularly drafts and negotiates employment and executive compensation agreements, separation and release agreements, and restrictive covenants.

Grant is admitted to practice in Louisiana, Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Tenth Circuits. She earned her law degree from Tulane University and her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology from Northwestern University.
