The award honors attorneys who provide 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services annually, reflecting their commitment to public service, expanding access to justice, and strengthening the communities they serve. Established by the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Access to Justice Commission works to educate the public about the state’s legal needs crisis, identify priorities for improving access to justice, and recommend projects and programs that expand access to legal services.
