Partner Mallory Overman advises and represents employers in various aspects of labor and employment law, including defending clients in discrimination lawsuits brought under federal and state law, whistleblower actions, and OSHA complaints. Her practice also includes representing defendants in various civil litigation matters and providing strategic counsel on business and employment practices, such as workplace investigations, employee termination, litigation avoidance techniques, Title VII training, Title IX training, and OSHA compliance. In addition, she has supported clients with business transactions and estate planning, enhancing her ability to deliver thoughtful and effective representation.
She is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. She earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her undergraduate degree from Drury University.
Partner Blake Edwards advises and represents employers in various aspects of labor and employment law, including defending charges of discrimination and lawsuits brought under federal and state law. In addition to litigation, his practice includes counseling employers on employment policies, practices, contracts, and progressive discipline for employees. His extensive employment law litigation experience allows him to successfully advise clients on litigation avoidance techniques and resolution.
He is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. He earned his law degree from Marquette University and his undergraduate degree from Ave Maria University.
Senior Counsel Toni Martin’s practice includes counseling employers on employment policies, practices, litigation avoidance techniques, executive employment contracts, and progressive discipline for employees. She represents employers in charges of discrimination and lawsuits brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, 42 U.S.C §§ 1981 and 1983, and brought under state law in Kansas and Missouri.
