GRSM Team Secures Dismissal of Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit Against Sports Scouting Service

A Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani multi-state team, including New York Partners Benjamin Levine and Jeffrey Camhi, Wilmington Partner Michael Heyden, Wilmington Senior Counsel Joseph Brenner, Des Moines Senior Counsel Tyler Smith, and New York Associates Gabriela Tremont and Christina Sinclair, recently secured the dismissal of a multi-million dollar lawsuit on behalf of GRSM’s client, an industry-leading sports scouting service, in the Superior Court of Delaware.

This action, part of several lawsuits pending between the parties in Delaware, Iowa, and New York, asserted that the defendants breached a Stock Purchase Agreement and unjustly enriched themselves. The multi-state team successfully argued that by bringing the Delaware litigation, the plaintiffs had breached specific provisions of the Stock Purchase Agreement. The court agreed and dismissed the plaintiff’s action.

This outcome highlights GRSM’s ability to guide our clients through the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of securities regulation, while utilizing the firm’s expansive 50-state platform to deliver comprehensive legal solutions for our clients.
