Curtis Smolar is a seasoned litigation and transactional attorney with more than 25 years of practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Curtis represented small start-ups during the first Internet boom and helped them grow into a mature profitable business, many of which are Fortune 500 companies today. He’s known to be a practical problem solver who keeps his eye on the clients’ business goals.

Curtis’ representation of companies spans the corporate life cycle, from pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, public offerings, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. He also works with venture capitalists, private equity investors and investment banks involved in private and public stock offerings. Curtis’s litigation experience includes a wide range of corporate and commercial litigation matters, as well as class action litigation. He is also a veteran of Am Law 100 law firms and his representative clients have included PayPal, eBay, and Bank of America.
