Greil Roberts has litigated complex cases, appeals, arbitrations, and resolved numerous matters throughout the country. Greil handles a broad range of insurance coverage, class action, commercial litigation, and product liability matters.

Greil is known for developing practical, client-focused strategies to resolve high-stakes disputes efficiently and effectively.

INSURANCE COVERAGE
Greil’s insurance experience spans a diverse array of policy forms and coverage issues, and includes evaluating and resolving disputes in state and federal courts across numerous jurisdictions.

Before joining GRSM, Greil gained extensive insurance industry experience in both claims and in-house counsel roles. He worked for six years as a claims adjuster for a major insurance company evaluating coverage and overseeing litigation involving complex, high-exposure claims. Later, after more than a decade in private practice, he served as in-house counsel for a specialty insurer, where he managed the company’s coverage litigation and provided legal advice across all coverage lines. These experiences allow him to approach disputes with a practical understanding of how insurers analyze risk and make coverage decisions.

CLASS ACTION
Greil handles complex class action litigation, including nationwide and state class claims arising under consumer protection statutes and false advertising or unfair competition statutes, including alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He has represented Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) and solar electricity companies in a variety of class action cases, including variable rate litigation.

COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
Greil has considerable experience in successfully resolving a wide variety of commercial disputes. He handles complex matters involving business-to-business disputes, franchise litigation, trademark disputes, class actions, and breach of commercial contracts. He has also handled unfair trade practices and competition, false advertising, fraud, bad faith and misrepresentation matters.

CIVIL LITIGATION / INSURANCE DEFENSE
Greil has resolved numerous products liability and personal injury claims. Before joining GRSM, Greil worked for a major insurance company where he evaluated coverage and managed litigation for a diverse range of large loss matters. This experience gives him a unique perspective and understanding in working with insurer clients.
