Melanie M. Butler is a seasoned employment litigator with experience representing both employees and employers.

For the first half of her career, Melanie represented plaintiff employees in wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, wage and hour class action, independent contractor misclassification, and Private Attorneys General Act claims.

She then shifted to defense, representing employer defendants in individual discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases, as well as PAGA and class action litigation. Melanie also has substantial experience advising employers on compliance with California and federal labor and employment laws. Her experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment litigation provides her with a unique perspective.
