The San Diego office of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani recently welcomed Partners Melanie Butler and Morgan Sorena, adding additional depth to its employment and litigation capabilities.

Butler focuses her practice on employment matters, representing employers in individual discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases, as well as PAGA and class action litigation. She also advises employers on compliance with California state and federal labor and employment laws. Her background representing both plaintiffs and defendants provides her with a broad perspective when evaluating claims and developing litigation strategies. She is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Sorena focuses her practice on civil litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving personal injury, product liability, insurance disputes, government entity liability, employment-related claims, premises liability, construction defects, and class actions. She has extensive trial experience in federal and state courts, as well as appellate experience that includes briefing and oral argument before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is admitted to practice in California, Montana, and New York.
