Jessica Luke is a partner in the Employment Practice Group of Gordon & Rees. Ms. Luke represents employers in single plaintiff and class action matters in state and federal courts in California, as well as claims before the EEOC, DFEH, EDD, and DLSE. Ms. Luke defends employers against claims such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower statutes, and wage and hour actions.
Ms. Luke’s practice also includes counseling employers on preventative employment policies and practices involving all areas of federal, state, and local employment law.
While attending the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Ms. Luke was an Extern in the San Francisco Superior Court, Law and Motion Department, and later at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Luke also served as Senior Production Editor on the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and was on the Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition Team.
Ms. Luke’s other accomplishments while at Hastings include representing an appellant, pro bono, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
