John T. Mills is an Associate in the New York office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Professional Liability Defense, Privacy, Data & Cybersecurity, Tort & Product Liability, Commercial Litigation, and Employment Law practice groups. His practice primarily focuses on privacy/data security and technology litigation, professional liability defense and complex commercial and product liability litigation. Mr. Mills has experience in providing counsel to clients on a broad range of cyber liability and risk avoidance issues, seeking to minimize exposure to regulatory action and litigation by assisting in the preparation of information privacy and data security policies, programs and procedures, as well as analysis and preparation of incident responses, including deploying forensics and consumer, government and regulatory notification under state and federal law.
Mr. Mills’ practice also includes commercial and civil litigation concerning complex business matters, where he represents a broad range of clients including directors and officers of both large and small businesses, attorneys, architects, engineers, accountants, brokers, health care facilities, manufacturers, distributors and employers against claims of civil liability including business, tort, contract, fiduciary duty and malpractice.
