Rose Lindsay-Guimaraes is Senior Counsel in the Salt Lake City office of GRSM and a member of the Employment Law and Commercial Litigation practice groups.

She began her legal career as a staff attorney at the Federal Defender Program in Chicago, Illinois, where she represented hundreds of indigent clients accused of federal crimes from arrest through appeal to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. Before joining GRSM, Rose was a staff attorney at the Disability Law Center, where she litigated federal civil rights claims. Her many successes in defending her clients come from her keen attention to detail, exceptional written and oral advocacy, and passionate commitment to her clients’ interests.

Rose has also devoted her time to teaching new generations of attorneys. She taught Legal Writing and other courses at her alma mater, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, before returning to her native Utah, where she now teaches a course named Federal Courts at the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law.

She now brings her wealth of litigation experience to GRSM’s clients in a variety of matters, including employment law disputes, commercial litigation, real estate disputes, and professional liability defense.
