The national law firm of Gordon & Rees continues to expand its San Francisco office with the addition of Associate Stephanie Butori Wersel. Ms. Wersel is a member of the Employment Practice group.
Ms. Wersel has experience drafting state court pleadings, including complaints, answers, demurrers, oppositions and replies. She also drafts federal court pleadings, including motions for summary judgment and motions to exclude expert testimony. She has appeared in superior court for civil case management conferences, status conferences and demurrer hearings. She has propounded discovery and prepared responses to document requests, requests for admissions and interrogatories.
Her experience includes representing the City and County of San Francisco in Small Claims Court, and providing research in pre-trial preparation to identify potential expert witnesses in a class action lawsuit.
Ms. Wersel earned her J.D. in 2007 from the University of California at Hastings College of the Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University at Chico in 2003. She also completed judicial clerkships at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office.
