Houston Partner Barry Flynn was recently elected to a three year term as a member of the Board of Trustees of Houston’s Star Of Hope Mission. Started in 1907, Star Of Hope is a Christian based community mission dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and children. On a daily basis, Star Of Hope serves approximately 1,100 men, women and children in three separate facilities throughout Houston.  It provides food, shelter, education, employment assistance, training in life management skills, help in substance abuse recovery, as well as Christian teaching. It has a full-time staff of over 200 workers, plus 7,000 volunteers, and an annual budget between $22 million and $25 million dollars. It is the fifth largest mission of its kind in the United States.

Flynn will begin serving his first term on the Star Of Hope Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2013.
