Gordon & Rees Rises to No. 21 on 2013 Diversity Scorecard

Gordon & Rees rose four spots to No. 21 on the 2013 Diversity Scorecard, a survey published in the June issue of The American Lawyer that ranks the top U.S. law firms for diversity.

The magazine surveyed the country’s largest and highest-grossing law firms and 228 firms reported minority information. Those firms were scored by adding the minority percentage of U.S. attorneys at those firms to the minority percentage of U.S. partners at the firms. Each firm was ranked based on that score. Gordon & Rees continues to make gains since its first appearance on the list in 2005 at No. 170.

“Here at Gordon & Rees, we take great pride in each and every individual’s contribution,” said Franz Hardy, chair of Gordon & Rees’s National Diversity Committee. “As we continue to grow, we take special care to ensure that we continue to create an environment where we collectively thrive. The advancement of Gordon & Rees to No. 21 on this year's Diversity Scorecard demonstrates our ongoing commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within our firm.”

Founded in San Francisco in 1974, Gordon & Rees is a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 525 lawyers and 28 offices in 18 states. The firm has been ranked as a “BTI Client Service All-Star” for the past two years and as a “Litigation King” by Corporate Counsel magazine on its 2012 list of who represents Fortune 100 companies. Gordon & Rees also is ranked 139th on this year's Am Law 200, published by The American Lawyer, and 95th on The National Law Journal’s 2013 list of the largest U.S. law firms.
