Gordon & Rees Honored at the 2014 Top Firms for Diversity Awards

On Dec. 2, The American Lawyer honored Gordon & Rees as one of 2014’s Top Firms for Diversity. Gordon & Rees New York associates Kuuku Minnah-Donkoh and Christopher Seacord accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

The 2014 Top Firms for Diversity Awards recognize the 50 highest-ranked firms on the Diversity Scorecard, which The American Lawyer published earlier this year. Gordon & Rees ranks at No. 26 on the 2014 Diversity Scorecard. Gordon & Rees made its first appearance on the Diversity Scorecard in 2005 and the firm has been honored at the Top Firms for Diversity Awards for the past three years.

"Strengthening diversity and inclusion is at our core at Gordon & Rees, where we are committed to fostering an environment in which our differences are embraced and valued,” said Franz Hardy, chair of the firm’s National Diversity Committee. “Gordon & Rees’s continued growth and success as a firm is the result of that commitment."

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Gordon & Rees is a national litigation and business transactions firm with more than 575 lawyers and 33 offices in 21 states. Gordon & Rees has been recognized on the “BTI Client Service A-Team” survey for the past three years and has been honored as a 2014 "Go-To Law Firm" for Fortune 500 companies as well as selected for inclusion on Corporate Counsel magazine’s 2013 “Who Represents America’s Biggest Companies” list. Last year Gordon & Rees was honored as a finalist for the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s Thomas L. Sager Award for the West Region, which recognizes a firm's commitment to the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse attorneys.
