Philadelphia partner Joshua R. Slavitt led a three-person panel discussion titled "Real World IP Due Diligence: Managing Risk and Avoiding Disaster in Real Time (and on Budget)" at the Association of Corporate Counsel Greater Philadelphia In-House Counsel Conference on April 27, 2017. Slavitt was joined by Jonathan D. Olefson, General Counsel for Cotivit, LLC and Jared T. Zane, Associate General Counsel at Axalta Coating Systems, LLC in the hour-long presentation to in-house counsel from various industries.
Slavitt's panel presentation focused on ways to effectively design and execute IP due diligence reviews that address the most important questions and provide the greatest value during M & A transactions. In addition, the panel offered practical and effective approaches to IP due diligence from both the buyer's and the seller's perspectives. The panelists also shared their real-world experiences in managing the IP due diligence process.
