Attorney Christina Orr Magulick Receives 2019 Women of Achievement Award

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Pittsburgh attorney Christina Orr Magulick was honored as a "2019 Women of Achievement" at the Cribs for Kids 14th Annual Awards ceremony on March 13, 2019. In honor of Women's History Month in Pittsburgh, this awards program recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of 25 successful, prominent women in the Pittsburgh region. 

Magulick was awarded the advocacy and philanthropy distinction which highlighted her professional experience and her efforts in the community as co-founder of the Miracle League of Moon Township. Magulick and her husband, Mike, co-founded a 501(c)(3), the Miracle League of Moon Township, in honor of their youngest son, Luke, who has a rare genetic disorder. With the goal of creating a Miracle League Athletic Field, ADA accessible restroom facility and adaptive playground, which will offer people of all abilities a safe place to play and be a part of a team, Magulick worked as an advocate in her community on behalf of individuals with disabilities and their families. 

The Women of Achievement Awards is an event honoring Western Pennsylvania’s most outstanding women who have demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of their communities, excellence in their professional fields or outstanding accomplishments for the advancement of women. The annual awards ceremony raises funds for Cribs for Kids which is a national infant safe-sleep education program that helps to reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to accidental suffocation, asphyxia, or undetermined causes in unsafe sleeping environments.

Magulick's efforts with the Miracle League of Moon Township were also recognized in September 2018 by the Pittsburgh Business Times when she was named among the 2018 HealthCare Heroes.

Magulick maintains a diverse practice in civil litigation, with focuses on defending healthcare providers in the long-term care and personal care home settings, as well as litigating all stages of a workers’ compensation case.  She has past experience defending FDCPA and TCPA cases, employment cases, as well as litigating complex commercial cases in Bankruptcy Court. In all cases, she works with clients to help them attain their desired result.
