New York Team Publishes Article on New York State Employers Facing Increase in Minimum Wage and Exempt Employee Threshold in DRI’s The Job Description

Gordon & Rees New York partners Diane Krebs and Mark Beckman along with associate Francis Giambalvo, authored an article, “Laboring to Comply: New York State Employers Facing an Increase in the Minimum Wage and Exempt Employee Threshold,” published in the March 10, 2017 issue of DRI's magazine, The Job Description.

In their article, the authors, members of Gordon & Rees's Employment Practice Group, provide key information that New York-based employers must know to comply with new state wage and hour requirements and avoid fines and onerous, protracted and expensive litigation. These recent changes to employment laws by the New York State Legislature and Department of Labor impact increases to minimum wages, tip credit for tipped employees, and exempt employee thresholds.
