Annette’s employment practice also specializes in handling complex wage and hour class action claims under the California Labor Code and Private Attorneys General Act, a.k.a. PAGA, representative actions.  Defense of such claims includes, but is not limited to, claims pertaining to minimum and overtime wages, regular rate issues, meal and rest breaks claims, inaccurate wage statements, and related derivative claims.  As part of her practice, Annette routinely advises in changes in California law and trends in complex wage and hour litigation.

In addition to her employment law practice, Annette also has significant experience working with and advising hospitality clients, property owners, educational entities, and low income housing providers.  Annette has worked for over a decade on housing issues in California – representing both tenants and landlords.  She regularly provides advice and counsel with regard to landlord and tenant relationships, unlawful detainers, premises liability, breach of habitability claims, and the multitude of regulations applicable to property owners in all 50 States.  Annette approaches housing and landlord-tenant matters with a practical and creative approach that aims to navigate and address the challenges and realities of providing housing in California.

Annette’s industry experience also extends to California administrative, water, and immigration law.
