Attorney Biography
Christopher R. Jones has represented clients up and down the I-25 corridor for more than a decade. From minor automobile accidents to multi-million-dollar Malpractice Litigation, he has represented clients ranging from individuals to one of the nation’s largest owners of long-term care facilities. As an attorney licensed in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico, Christopher provides his clients with a “one stop shop” for all their litigation needs throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Experience
Medical and Long-Term Care Malpractice
Christopher has extensive experience in providing legal representation on behalf of healthcare providers. He routinely defends physicians, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, and other health care providers against a wide breadth of claims, including negligence and malpractice, violations of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, violation of the New Mexico Unfair Trade Practices Act, wrongful death, and other common law claims.
Personal Injury
As former staff trial counsel for a Fortune 100 insurance company, Christopher has considerable experience representing his clients in personal injury claims, including automobile accidents and premises liability suits. He has tried more than a dozen personal injury cases.
Employment
In addition to his health care tort litigation practice, Christopher advises both large and small businesses regarding their employer-employee relationships. He has extensive experience representing his clients in wrongful termination matters, federal whistleblower suits, misappropriation of trade secret matters, and employment contract disputes. He has also assisted clients in developing employee procedures and guidelines so that they can proactively prevent costly litigation. Christopher has experience investigating discrimination claims, workplace misconduct, and retaliation and drafting position statements and other responses to requests by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and its state equivalents.
Appellate Matters
As a result of his previous role as a law clerk to the Honorable Diana Terry on the Colorado Court of Appeals, Christopher also possesses unique insight into the appellate process. He is able to guide his clients not only through initial litigation, but also through the appellate options available following trial.
