Skip McCowan has served as the Chair of the Drug and Medical Device Committee of the Defense Research Institute for two consecutive one-year terms. In October, he will be turning over the leadership of the committee to a new chair. In the August 2011 issue of
For The Defense, which is dedicated to articles dealing with drug and medical device litigation practice, Skip published a "letter from the chair" thanking the many members of the steering committee for their contributions during the past two years that have helped continue the committee's commitment over almost 30 years of providing the highest quality continuing education programs and networking events. In the letter, Skip also comments on some of the many valuable programs offered to committee members and the announcement to the appointment of two new members of the steering committee.
