Partner Franz Hardy Speaks on Fisher v. University of Texas Panel Co-Sponsored by Gordon & Rees

On July 16, Gordon & Rees Denver partner Franz Hardy participated in a panel presentation titled “Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin: Is Affirmative Action Dying?”

At the presentation, co-sponsored by Gordon & Rees, Hardy discussed the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on university affirmative action initiatives and Fisher’s implications on university and law firm efforts to build diverse environments. In addition to Hardy, panelists included University of Colorado Law School Dean Philip Weiser, University of Denver Sturm College of Law Professor Roberto Corrada, and University of Colorado Law School Professor Dayna Matthew. Neeti Pawar of Neeti Pawar LLC moderated the discussion, held at the new Ralph L. Carr Courthouse in Denver.

The presentation was hosted by the specialty bars of Colorado, including the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado, Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, Colorado Indian Bar Association, Colorado Womens Bar Association, Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association of Colorado, Sam Cary Bar Association, and South Asian Bar Association of Colorado.
