Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Partner Rich Sybert, assisted by Associate Sam Smith and Senior Paralegal Joni Etue, successfully represented a tenant in a contentious residential rental dispute involving a luxury home in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
The case involved allegations of water intrusion, mold, property damage and disputed security deposits. During a six-day jury trial in San Diego Superior Court, the GRSM team presented evidence of leaks and mold in the property while challenging the landlord’s claims of hundreds of thousands of dollars in alleged damages to the house.
As GRSM was about to rest, the landlord agreed to settle the matter for the full amount of the tenant’s pretrial demand.
